About This Blog

Jon Arnold’s Analyst 2.0 Blog is where I express my views about IP communications and other things I like to write about, such the Red Sox, blues, and popular culture.

My blog was launched in March 2005 on the Pulvermedia platform, which has served me very well until recently. In March 2008, I launched IP Communications Insights with fellow indie consultant Marc Robins. We both felt there was a need for independent analysts to have a unified voice and gathering point, and hence, the portal was born. To support our vision of being independent, we both decided to re-locate our blogs to this portal, which is industry-neutral and not formally affiliated with any publisher, event producer, vendor or service provider.

Caveat -  I am not an “uberblogger” who posts 5 times a day, and I’m not a journalist, so you won’t find too many news scoops here. As such, I do not usually post about big stories, as they are covered to death – and very thoroughly – by other bloggers by the time I get around to them. However, I do try to post daily, and try to provide a different point of view or original content where possible. I’m not a techie or a gadget guy, so you won’t see many product reviews or analyses of speeds and feeds here. I just like to write.

Of course, I have to make a living, and you can find out more about that in About Me. In short, I do the telling on my blog, and do the selling on my website, as well as on the IP Communications Insights portal.
